Rome is served by two airports: Fiumicino and Ciampino.Fiumicino Airport - Leonardo da Vinci - 30 km from centre
You may take an official white taxi directly to the Hotel. The Rome City Council has fixed a flat fare of 40 € from the airport of Fiumicino to Rome city centre (up to four persons and inclusive of luggage). It is best that you confirm this fixed fare with the driver before boarding the taxi (please note that taxis registered in the city of Fiumicino are entitled to charge 60 €). If you are charged more than 40 € come into the Hotel and one of our staff will assist you. NB. see notice below about taxis.
There are also two trains that connect the Fiumicino airport to
the city centre, one to Termini Station and the other to Ostiense
The fast train “Leonardo Express” goes directly to the main railway station Termini, and takes 30 minutes.
From Termini you may then take a white metered taxi to the Hotel for no more than 15/20 € (inclusive of luggage). Make sure the meter is switched on.
If you are travelling light you might hop on the Metro (underground) B line to the Colosseo stop. From here cross the road and take the 85 or 117 bus uphill for 2 stops to Via San Giovanni in Laterano. Take extra care as pickpockets operate on public transport.
Once you get off the bus, walk back to the corner and turn left
towards the steps. At the foot of the steps turn right, and a
little ahead on the left you will see trees and a gray gate, that's
the Lancelot, at number 47, Via Capo D'Africa.
The other train to Ostiense makes four stops. This route avoids the busy Termini station. A taxi rank is conveniently situated outside the Ostiense station where you can take a white metered taxi to the Hotel for approx 10/15 € (inclusive of luggage). Make sure the meter is switched on.
If you are hiring a car at Fiumicino follow signs for "Roma Centro" and then those to the Colosseum.
