Dear All at the Hotel Lancelot Hotel,
We would all like to say a BIG thank you to all for such an enjoyable stay at your hotel. All of you made us so welcome and were kind and helpful.
A special thank you to Faris, who not only gave us some fantastic information about Rome, places to go etc, but our own personal escort out of the city - that was fantastic.

We had the exceptional pleasure of enjoying some wonderful 3 days in Rome embraced by the warm hospitality of the Hotel Lancelot and its kind Knights of the Round Table :-) Thank you very much for the welcome and the service at your house!
Though we seemed to be the only Nibelungs amongst a joyful band of British knights ;-) we were very pleased by the charming atmosphere of your house, the hearty starting breakfast in the morning and the always readily expected delicious dishes of the Round Table dinner at night which always led us to a glass of wine enjoyed on that wonderful balcony of our room looking at the colosseo in the twilight of the day's dusk.
Memories are the true treasure in a world of hustle and bustle - for that the Hotel Lancelot was our treasure island in the Eternal City.

It's
been a few weeks since our stay at Hotel Lancelot.
Our family wanted to thank all of you for the
wonderful accommodations and service. I think it is
by far the best hotel we've stayed in. Not only is
the hotel beautiful, the staff was warm and helpful
to us-especially not speaking the language, it was a
comfort to know we could communicate well. We don't
remember Mrs. Kahn's son's name, but please tell him
that we appreciate the time he spent with us and the
places he suggested we visit they were all
worthwhile. We will tell everyone we know who visits
Rome to spend their days at Hotel Lancelot. Hope to
be back soon!

Just a quick note to thank you and all the staff
at Hotel Lancelot for making our recent stay in Rome
so very special. We all had a truly memorable
holiday. Our rooms were excellent (7 & 9) the
terraces were particularly nice. Thank you for
originally recommending them. Everyone we met at the
Lancelot was friendly, helpful and always had a
smile on their face. We could not have felt more
comfortable and relaxed. The hotel was a real home
from home. Thank you again for helping to make our
trip to Rome so special. My parents in particular
could not have enjoyed themselves more - they will
always remember Rome and the Hotel Lancelot.
Needless to say, when we decide to return to Rome
there will be no question about where we'll want to
stay. Hopefully, we'll see you all in the not too

Hello
all,
Since my return to USA, I have thought of Rome
and the excellent accommodations you provided to me,
my son Charles Goodman and his family very often. We
enjoyed our stay beyond words and so much of that
joy is attributed to the fine care you gave us,
helping with translation, wonderful food,
comfortable room and kindness. The staff were all so
concerned about my grandson who was ill while we
were there. It made us less anxious knowing we had
your support. The reputation of your Hotel is world
wide, and greatly deserved. Thank you all again, and
I hope I will return to Rome and The Lancelot in the
future. (I did throw a coin in the Trevi fountain).
I threw one in 1954 as well... I had a year in
school at the Overseas School of Rome... the coin
worked that time.

We just returned from our visit to Rome. Your
city is beautiful and so rich with history. The real
serendipity to our trip was Hotel Lancelot. The
assistance you provided in getting tickets to the
Opera, for our group tour (The Christian Tour), bus
tickets, railway schedules, etc. was wonderful. The
rooms were so comfortable and breakfast was
delicious. Our last night, we had dinner with you
and celebrated our daughter's 14th birthday. It was
so special and the cake and champagne, excellent.
Hannah will certainly remember the celebration.

I wanted you to know what a real pleasure it was
for us to have met you and shared some time together.
The afternoon at Il Tuscolo was most enjoyable,
only to be followed on New Year's eve by the extravaganza
at the Lancelot. The food was wonderful, the wine
and champagne too easy to consume, the Middle East
dancers talented and great fun, and the fire works
on the terrace spectacular. Even the Gypsy guitar
player was great, and he did not pick any pockets!
You were a gracious hostess who presided over a
friendly, entertaining and fun filled evening. A
great time was had by all. We returned to Geneva
with more fine souvenirs of Bella Roma. We extend
to you our best wishes for a happy, healthy and
prosperous New Year.

Just a note to say thank you for the wonderful time. We so enjoyed our stay at Hotel Lancelot that we will certainly be returning.
The staff were so helpful and friendly; we would never have found our way around Rome without their advice. Nothing was too much trouble for them and this really makes a difference when you are on holiday.
The breakfast was most generous with a wonderful variety - one of the best selections I have seen, and the rooms were decorated so nicely.

I am writing to thank your family and staff for
the excellent service, accommodation and meals that
we enjoyed while staying in the Lancelot Hotel earlier
this month. We were made to feel most welcome, and
were fortunate to be able to extend our visit by
an extra four days. We had planned to tour for this
time, but we were so comfortable and so well cared
for that we stayed on. Rome is a beautiful city,
and we hope to make many more visits in the future
as there is so much to see. (Not least, the view
through the keyhole which we never amanged to find!)

Thanks
for your response. I wish to confirm that I shall
be arriving in Rome on Saturday 24 March'01 at 0555
on flight TG 942. I would be most grateful if you
could squeeze me in - even under the vines in the
courtyard - in fact, anywhere! The thought of coming
to Rome and staying anywhere other than the Lancelot
brings tears to my eyes. I might even give you my
bee glasses, if you can manage a miracle! Boy, it's
a long time since I've been down on my knees. Seriously,
I'm sorry for any inconvenience I might be causing.
I really didn't think I'd be coming to Rome before
May, but on arrival home from South Africa four
days ago I learnt that FAO had changed the dates
of a mission I'm doing in Vietnam and for which
the visit to Rome is preparatory. I certainly didn't
know the Rome Marathon is in Rome on the 24th even
though there was a Rome FAO staffer (also a runner)
with me in SA. I look forward to seeing you Kevin
